Our Mission

Enrichment Academy is a holistic learning experience blending academics with enrichment, social-emotional skill development, and community engagement. Primary partners are Waynesboro Public Schools, The Wayne Theatre, Central Shenandoah Office on Youth, and Waynesboro Family YMCA, with additional support from a host of private and public organizations.

The Village

Every child is a superhero … and it takes a village to help these children reach their fullest potential.

The knowledge and expertise of the Waynesboro School System have been invaluable and instrumental to build the Enrichment Academy. Through CARES act funding designated to the School system, we are able to provide the highest quality of instruction and supervision.

Having the Wayne Theatre as a member of the village brings a dynamic element of excellence and exposure to the arts, including dance, theatre, and storytelling. Their staff will lead interactive and engaging programming for all ages and interests in the arts.

The Central Shenandoah Office on Youth has been serving Waynesboro for decades with impacting programming for youth and families. Their staff will lead bike safety programming, internet safety, and connect on age-appropriate leadership topics for young people to help them grow and achieve.

The Waynesboro Family YMCA has a long standing history of youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living. 2nd & 3rd graders will be transported to the Y for water safety activities. All ages will get to have fun with fitness programming like YOGA & pound and interactive nutrition games designed to help kids stay healthy and learn the importance of nutrition and exercise.

We are exceedingly grateful for the spirit of collaboration and for all the countless individuals, businesses small and large, and organizations that have lent their time and talents to the Summer Enrichment Academy!

Please show your thanks by continuing to support the work and missions of our partner agencies.
